Elevators

An elevator is a device which allows players to ascend and descend "levels" within a structure at a fast pace.

Operation

In order for an elevator to be constructed, an Elevator Assembly Kit must be used on the desired block. There are some block limitations in place, as certain blocks are not suitable to be leaves. An example of this would be a chest or naturally-occurring leaves. Otherwise, many blocks can be turned into an elevator.

Elevators work by searching the vertical segment of blocks that the elevator was triggered on.

To activate an elevator, sneak or jump on the block designated as an elevator. Sneak will cause descension while jump will cause ascension. If no elevators exist above/below the current elevator, nothing will happen.

Elevators can only detect other elevators within 24 blocks. They cannot be spaced apart any further than that, otherwise they will not function.
