Safari net

The safari net allows you to capture some creatures. Time is frozen within the device and the creature can remain within it forever. Furthermore, the device has infinite uses and will never expire.

Safari net crafting recipe

For information about a particular safari net, read its lore description. The lore description will contain all information about the captured mob (if any). When a safari net is initially created, it has no creature within it. As well, when a creature it released, the net will go back to an empty state.

When a creature is captured, the name of the creature and all of its metadata information (such as display name, age, color, etc.) will be stored within the safari net's lore data. For the most part, all creatures will have their information preserved. However, the creature's equipment and inventory will not be saved.

Known bugs

Villager trades are not preserved. Regardless of the villager's progression, they will reset to two random trades.
Equipment & inventory contents are lost when picking up a creature.
